Paintings

I like to paint Animals in a contempory portrait style, with background playing a minor part in the composition.
Amphibians and Insects are also wonders of nature and they play as large a part in my work as Mammals.

In nature, some of the most beautiful sky and seascapes often look too colourful to be true, the Aurora Borealis for instance is a wonder of the natural world.
With that in mind, when painting the silhouettes I've tried to capture a snapshot of fading light, ice, summer sky etc. then added simple silhouettes of the animal kingdom to the backdrop.

All paintings are the original work unless specified.
For information on reproductions see the Giclee page.

Commissions happily accepted.
All paintings are mounted in black and framed in a 34mm wide cushion shaped moulding made from real ayous wood, with a stained black finish.
Price includes mounted painting, frame, fixings, post and packaging.
